On-going PUWER 98 Support Program

The Scheme

PUWER 98, or the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, is a set of regulations that aim to ensure the safety of employees who use machinery and equipment in the workplace. These regulations require employers to provide their employees with safe equipment, ensure that equipment is properly maintained, and provide adequate training to their employees to use the equipment safely. 

Our PUWER 98 Support Program is designed to provide you with safe work equipment, and the knowledge and skills you need to create and maintain a safe work environment, reduce the risk of accidents and injuries, and ensure that your employees are equipped to work safely and effectively at all times to ensure this Legislation is met.

We will complete an initial PUWER Risk Assessment and where required identify and complete the works to bring the equipment and process in line with suitable safety requirements. 

These additional works could include:

• Equipment Modification and Testing 
• Employee & User Training on the equipment
• On-going PUWER Audits & Inspections 

 

 

OUR Team of experienced PUWER Assessors will check the following:

• Ensure that the equipment meets current Legislation 
• Ensure that the Risk assessment for the equipment has identified hazards, risk and has defined suitable control measures 
• All users are suitably trained and competent to do so, this includes any maintenance staff 

 

On completion of the above works a final review of the PUWER Assessment shall be completed and all findings and actions taken reflected within the report. A Certificate of Compliance will be issued where required.  

 

Monthly Support Fee 

There are many items of work equipment that need to be covered by PUWER 98, so once all of the equipment has been defined and agreed, a bespoke quotation will be issued. 

Once accepted, you will be invoiced at the start of each monthly period which will be subject to payment 30 days thereafter.
