5S Training Course - ISA Support

Our 5S Training Course teaches employees and managers how to start, maintain, and improve all aspects of 5S.

Japan developed the 5S as a Quality Assurance Management technique. Industries around the world now use it extensively in manufacturing and services. The training course's purpose is to improve efficiency, reduce waste and improve safety within the workplace.

5S training makes it easy and affordable to engage the entire workforce.

In a nutshell, the cornerstone of 5S is that ‘untidy, cluttered work areas are not productive. Junk gets in everybody's way and dirt compromises quality’.

5S Training

ISA can provide your staff and management with the training and skills to introduce, maintain and improve on all of the requirements of 5S.

Understanding 5S Training

5S is a workplace organisational method derived from the five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke. They translate into English as 'sort,' 'set in order,' 'shine,' 'standardise,' and 'sustain’. 5S was developed in Japan. Since then, it has become a major influence on the development of 'just in time' manufacturing.

Companies and workers around the world now practice 5S training and techniques. It has significantly impacted the manufacturing industry. Since conception it has seen rapid growth within a wide variety of industries including health care, education and government.

The 5S training programme offers many benefits including:

1. Working areas that are greater organised,

2. Safer, more efficient and more easily accessible, which could do more for business than doubling sales!

3. An easy system for workers to follow

4. Encourages high quality work

5. Greater employee satisfaction

5S training refers to mainly workplace organisation, enhancement and consistency. Many managers believe 5S training helps every department adopt lean practices and build a strong foundation.
