Health & Safety Competent Person Support Scheme

The scheme

As a business owner or director it will be your responsibility to ensure access to a “competent Person” and advice in order for you to meet the requirements of Health & Safety Law. This guideline comes under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and The Management of Health & Safety Regulations 1911.

Competent Person Schemes were first introduced by the Government to allow businesses to self-certify that their location complies with the Building Regulations. This came as an alternative to submitting a building notice or using an approved building regulations inspector.

At ISA we offer memberships to small and medium sized businesses which will enable you to fulfill this requirement, businesses under this membership will be placed into our competent person scheme.
