Course Description

Our Basic Ladder Awareness Training course is specifically designed for businesses who use ladders and need to understand how to correctly set them up and perform necessary inspections and checks. By enrolling in this course, your staff learn essential techniques to use ladders safely and prevent potential injuries. Improperly inspected and used ladders can lead to serious injuries or even fatalities. Every year, approximately 14 deaths occur due to falls from ladders. It is crucial for anyone who works with ladders to receive adequate training in order to ensure safe practices when working at height. The Basic Ladder Awareness Training incorporates video presentations and interactive games to enhance the learning experience. Participants will be required to pass a final exam, and upon successful completion, they will receive certificates as recognition of their achievement.

Course Content:

The Basic Ladder Awareness Course covers the following key topics:

  1. 1Defect Checking: Learn to inspect ladders for defects before use.
  2. 2Safe Setup and Usage: Understand how to set up and use ladders safely./li>
  3. 3Compliance with Work at Height Regulations: Gain knowledge of the regulations for working at height and how to comply with them.

Test and Certification:

At the end of the course you will be given a test of 20 multiple choice questions. The required pass rate is 85%.

You will be able to download and print (if required) a digital certificate on completion of the course.

Main course certificates last 3 years. (Refresher courses are available and recommended every 12 months).

All our courses have been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.

Course Duration:

Main Course: Approximately 50 minutes (excluding time taken for the final exams).
