Course Description

 

This refresher course is designed to reinforce personal-security knowledge and strategies for lone and remote workers. It revisits key risk-areas, situational awareness, legal responsibilities, and safe working practices for those who operate in isolation. The course aims to ensure that participants stay alert to dangers, maintain effective communication, and know how to respond to emergencies or threatening situations, helping both workers and their employers manage lone working risks more effectively.

Who is this for?

This course is intended for people who work alone or in remote locations such as field operatives, delivery drivers, home-visiting staff, remote-based workers, or those who frequently travel for business. It’s also valuable for managers, supervisors, and employers who need to ensure their lone-working staff are protected, aware of risks, and supported with proper safety measures.

Test and Certification:

At the end of the course, you will take a test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions with a required pass rate of 85%
Upon successful completion, you will be able to download and print a digital certificate if required. The main course certificate is valid for three years, with refresher courses available and recommended every 12 months.
