Course Description

 

This refresher course is designed to update participants on safe working practices when using display screen equipment (DSE) such as computers, laptops, and other digital devices. It revisits the key principles of DSE safety, focusing on correct workstation setup, posture, and risk reduction techniques to prevent health issues such as eye strain, musculoskeletal disorders, and fatigue. The course also highlights any updates in regulations or best practices since the initial training.

Who is this for?

This course is aimed at employees, supervisors, and managers who regularly use display screen equipment as part of their daily work and have previously completed DSE training. It is especially beneficial for office workers, remote workers, and anyone responsible for setting up or assessing workstations in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

  • Common health risks associated with DSE use
  • Correct workstation setup: seating, screen height, and lighting

  • DSE self-assessment and risk assessment updates

Test and Certification:

At the end of the course, you will take a test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions with a required pass rate of 85%
Upon successful completion, you will be able to download and print a digital certificate if required. The main course certificate is valid for three years, with refresher courses available and recommended every 12 months.

All our courses are independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.

Main Course Duration: Approximately 20 minutes (excluding the final test time)
